Loewen Heat-Smart Window
Systems are
constructed using Low
Emissivity technology (better know as Low-E).
This technology works by reflecting heat back to its source.
Heat-Smart systems also use argon gas, which is injected into
one or more of the air spaces between the glass panes. This
inert, environmentally safe gas significantly reduces the
conduction of heat.
The heat reflective
characteristics of Low-E, combined with argon gas and Loewen's
advanced sealing and construction methods, create highly
effective thermal barriers. Heat-Smart Window Systems reduce
condensation and that "cold feeling" some windows
project.
Heat-Smart windows also protect furnishings by screening out
most of the damaging ultraviolet light rays. This reduces fading
and related damage, but leaves plants unaffected. There is no
haze or bluish cast to Heat-Smart Window Systems.
